CN Apr Exports/ Imports Hike by 1.5%/ 8.4% YoY in USD Terms; Trade Surplus US$72.35B

　　In terms of USD, the total import and export values for April amounted to US$512.56 billion, up 4.4% YoY, according to the statistics released by the General Administration of Customs of China (GAC). Of which, the total export value amounted to US$292.45 billion, up 1.5% YoY, ahead of the market's expectation of 1.3%.

　　Total import value was US$220.1 billion, up 8.4% YoY, higher than the market's expectation of 4.7%. Trade surplus was US$72.35 billion, as compared with the market's expectation of US$81 billion.
