CLP said it received reports of power outage in buildings after a voltage dip in the early hours of Sunday.
The power company said at about 3am, a brief voltage dip occurred at its overhead power supply system connecting Yuen Long and Shenzhen.
At Fung Chuen Court in Diamond Hill, the security office said the blackout lasted for more than an hour.
CLP said while no power interruption was caused by the voltage dip, power supply might have been affected by unstable weather as the thunderstorm warning was in force at the time.
It's not immediately known how many buildings were affected.
It's the latest in a series of glitches involving the power firm. Earlier this month, the government said it would ask an independent consultant to investigate CLP power outages over the past three years after more than 2,200 customers in Wong Tai Sin were left without power for about four hours.
