SAR government hits out at US religious freedom report

　　The SAR government was responding to the 2023 Report on International Religious Freedom.

　　The SAR government on Saturday said it strongly disapproves of remarks by the US regarding the human rights situation in the city. This came after the US published its 2023 Report on International Religious Freedom.

　　In a statement, the government said the US report was another attempt to slander the SAR under the guise of religious freedom. It accused the US of piling up false stories and fabricating narratives. It said residents of Hong Kong enjoy the right of religious freedom.

　　The government also called on the US to immediately stop interfering in Hong Kong matters, which are purely China's internal affairs.
