The match began with a tight first period with Kong trailing by only one point, 2-3, but she was able to overcome the deficit and took control by the end of the second period with a lead of 11-8.
By the final round, Kong secured the win by scoring three points in the final minute to get her a spot in the round of 16, where she will face Hadley Husisian of the US.
