Macau's Secretary for Economy and Finance set the annual cap for the number of gaming junket promoters for 2025 on 28 June, maintaining it at 50, according to the latest announcement of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).
The announcement showed that SANDS CHINA LTD (01928.HK) +0.440 (+2.644%) Short selling $28.29M; Ratio 21.833% 's The Venetian Macao and SJM HOLDINGS (00880.HK) +0.080 (+3.162%) Short selling $2.37M; Ratio 15.099% 's SJM Resorts were each granted 12 licenses; MGM CHINA (02282.HK) +0.060 (+0.483%) Short selling $7.40M; Ratio 17.225% and Melco Resorts (MLCO.US) each received 8 licenses; and GALAXY ENT (00027.HK) +0.800 (+2.312%) Short selling $56.44M; Ratio 28.661% and WYNN MACAU (01128.HK) +0.150 (+2.392%) Short selling $14.02M; Ratio 51.997% each got 5 licenses.
The annual maximum number of partners who can cooperate with gaming junket promoters in 2024 was the same as 2023, at 250. As of April, there are currently 7 junket promoter partners in Macau.
