A Visit to Swissquote in UAE - Office Found

Reason for this visit

The UAE stock market is one of the largest stock markets in the Middle East. The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) is responsible for regulating the stock market. In recent years, the UAE government has also relaxed the restrictions on foreign ownership limits to attract more foreign funds. The trading activity in the UAE stock market has increased, and foreign investors participation has gradually grown. With the sustained growth and diversification of the UAE economy, its capital market is also expected to have favorable development opportunities. Overall, the UAE stock market is steadily moving towards greater maturity and openness. In an attempt to provide investors with a comprehensive understanding of current UAE brokers, WikiStock survey team is determined to go to the country for on-site visits to local companies.

On-site visit

In this issue, the survey team went to the UAE to visit broker Swissquote as planned according to its regulatory address that Office 2402, Level 24 Tower 1, Boulevard Plaza Downtown Dubai, UAE P.O. Box 121364.

The investigators arrived in Downtown Dubai of the UAE for a visit to the brokers office on December 20, 2023, and located Boulevard Plaza in a busy commercial and residential district home to a large pool of upscale hotels, shopping malls, and office buildings.

Upon arrival at the building for further investigation, the survey personnel spotted easily a directory, which displayed prominently the company name of Swissquote.

After proceeding to the target floor, the inspection team discovered clearly the company name and logo of Swissquote. Unfortunately, people werent allowed to visit the working area and take photos inside the office due to the access control system. Therefore, the specific office size of the company is unknown.

Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker has a physical presence at the location.

Conclusion

The survey team went to the UAE to visit broker Swissquote as scheduled, and found the company at its regulatory address. This signifies that the broker has a physical business office at the place. Meanwhile, investors are advised to make a judicious decision following an overall consideration.
